SUSTAINABILITY
As a practice of building services engineering consultants, we have a direct impact on the environment both through our designs and the operation of our business.
Our objective is to minimise, or, where possible, eliminate, any environmental impact arising out of both our building services project design and our office procedures.
To assist with this, two of our Engineers have completed the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant accreditation scheme and take an active part in all projects to ensure that we provide best advice in both achieving Part L requirements and meeting the client’s requirements. We have experience of designing to the Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and LEED.
A commonly used definition of sustainable development is:
"Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs"
Whether you want to reduce the energy consumption of a building to comply with building regulations, meet a standard (such as BREEAM), manage your Carbon Reduction Commitment, reduce your energy bills or reduce your carbon emissions, we have the knowledge to guide you, based upon years of experience of Low or Zero Carbon technology:
1985 | 1995 | 2003 | 2006 | 2007 | 2010 |
Thermosyphon Cooling | Thermosyphon Cooling with Ammonia | Sunpipes | Windcatchers | Ground Source Heat Pumps | Solar Thermal Heating |
The impact of the operation of our business is managed by the optimisation of the use of public transport and the handling of our waste within the office and then by a recycling business that minimises the waste that we send to landfill.
